disabling the GPS in setting doesn't switch the gps off - in fact, it prevents it from switching on.
If GPS isn't active, it's as switched off as it can be without physically removing the radio....

exactly the same problem here. advanced power monitor seems to be the culprit. my xorg ist constantly running @ 70%. my n900 consumes about 10% battery in 20mins now.
any help on stopping this...
