These are great schemes and an opportunity for users to be directly involved in the future development of the Sailfish and Jolla projects.

Qualcomm may be softening their position as they released their code FOSS fro the WLAN USB dongle as supplied by Think Penguin. So there is faint hope:)

Re: Anyone knows if/when Jolla makes a second device?

The phone is value for money and buying it gives you access to the common hardware platform to develop and evaluate software and firmware.

Not only that buying the Jolla company hardware keeps...

Re: Anyone knows if/when Jolla makes a second device?

Would be great if Jolla's next phone used a chipset from a FOSS friendly manufacturer.

Re: Bootloader on the Jolla handset

Hopefully for the future development of the phone Qualcomm will be persuaded to see sense and the benefit of Open Source and free up the code to their software blob.

It is just unfortunate that a...

Re: Jolla battery life greatly affected by an NFC bug

I can also confirm that once NFC has been turned off overnight discharge rate has dropped from approx. 20% to approx. 2% .

Well worth doing as it prevents unnecessary accidental deep discharge of...

Re: Anyone knows if/when Jolla makes a second device?

Sailfish needs to run in the real world to expose bugs and improve it. The more hardware platforms the better this process works.

Jolla needs to be planning jPhone2 and hopefully this time use...

Even in storage out of a device the internal safety circuit draws...

Currently the Jolla can only be recovered by being...

Re: Problems with N900 USB port becoming broken / loose and resulting warranty & repair issues
