So I tried now stream over http with vlc and using the mediaplayer on n900 (internetradio).
I used wifi network but should work with usb network too and it has 3 seconds delay.

On your windows laptop use vlc player to send the stream over tcp rtp.
And maybe for the N900 use the UI-less rvlc to play the stream.

Not tried yet by myself but could work.

Its not USB, but like the answer before mine, streaming on network. Pulseaudio for Windows is not really all up-to-date. But you can have a look at this site if you want to try it.

- stereo bluetooth mic
- n900 should recognise it as stereo? (fm radio turns on bluetooth and it's stereo)

for usb stereo mic, you need:
- driver for it which will be working on n900
- h-e-n - it's in repository
- OTG cable
- some app that can rec from your mic (gstreamer, audacity, etc)

With n900 i used "recorder" on phone and later at home direct ffmpeg source path...

I would (and do) record as WAV and post-process with ffmpeg. An hour of WAV recording is just a few hundred MB, not a big deal...

Having 2,3 or 4 swap partitions on the sdcard does alter the procedure slightly, but since you asked for a setup with two partitions, i wrote that up!

fdisk is NOT sfdisk, they handle things...

N900 seems to take around 1A when loading a empty battery. Beefier charger probably will not charge the battery any faster.
