I purchased my N900 from the Nokia Internet store last february. I knew that it was promoted as an "Internet tablet" so I was not surprised that out of the box it lacked basic mobile phone functions...

If I remember correctly I simply used apt-get. I did that some time ago, before you started this thread. Perhaps the package was removed from the repository after that... I wonder if there's a way...

I installed the debs of mirakels' post #115 and I can succesfully transfer AND sync contacts with my Toyota Prius MY 2010. Later I will try the new obexd in post #118.
