It does not matter how good is your wifi, it may be an INTERNET speed issue.

I only have that problem when my connection is saturated with downloads.

I used "Stick Stuff Remover" solvent to disolve the glue from the slider chassis.

Well not all n900 are stable at 900-1150mhz range only few manages to run stable at 1ghz and beyond.
You should try lower frequencies 850mhz and below..
