You didn't have to reflash the whole eMMC, Ovi Maps store its data in ~/MyDocs/cities, and just like with the s60 series, deleting that folder should fix any maps problem you might have - Ovi Maps...

Test internet connection to OVI maps

1. open X-Term
2. type "telnet maps.ovi.com 80"

If you doesn't see word "Connected" - check you Internet connection.

It works fine on mine before and after each updates, just double checked again and it was working fine.

Radio like this involves very little power, so if the combination of chip and internal antenna are efficient I wouldn't expect a noticable difference. But you never know - good question.

Haven't tried charge it with the new script. But when I have been using the charger in the car I just put so the phone is higher than charger cable. When I do it like that it works quite okay.

This is a known bug. The "app closes" is actually a crash. Still investigating the reasons for this, but haven't found anything about it. What we know is it only happens when accessing certain items...

Leafpad is a good option if you don't want to mess with vi.
copy and paste the text into leadpad.
name the file topx.desktop
from xterm as root, copy the file to the hildon directory.
