That's a bit strange since I vaguely recall that refhashlist is protected by aegis. (could be wrong since it is years since I played with N9 but still...)

I don't remember where it is, but somewhere in the LXDE "Start" menu you should find an option to configure themes.

Yea, I think a lot depends on whether it is closed down like a clam or open to tinkering. I just now realized that the re-released 8110 seems to use KaiOS. Maybe I should get one and dissect it to...

Press the power button for about 10 sec to really turn off as opposed to "pretend turn off." Then when you plug it in, it will not boot, and you will just see the battery icon that shows charge...

Consider the bugs in the non-open parts that are very difficult to fix without access to...

The source DVD only contains the open source parts of Harmattan; you cannot create a complete release with what's available.

You can check if its a certificate problem or a TLS problem with openssl (from a PC with current certificates).

openssl s_client -connect talk.maemo.org:443 -tls1_1

That's what my question was aiming for. So I take it that Opera Mini seems to include tsl1.2 support. The meego-browser does not, neither does wget or the openssl library in the supplied version....

You more or less have to trust a security package if it comes from the original manufacturer....
