Quickly googling, the xbox 360 controller takes two AA cells. That pack on DX is "nimh", and the dimensions are approximately that of two AA cells wrapped in plastic case (well, 4mm extra thickness)....

well you still need 3 battery's witch would be heavy and bulky, but then you will get a 2100mAh battery for the phone.

only problem is that it's Ni-MH and they sometimes need extensive battery...

Mine is in an Otter Box case and sits on the wood stand as I write this. No problem with it.
