I have this same issue. I'm not sure if it was present on the community build, as I remember being able to send test MMS'es with WiFi toggled on.

I'll flash the community build a little later...

There's no need for a third party flashlight app or working with sources of other stuff. There's a flashlight toggle built into Sailfish X:

nope. but one thing is sure. never let a n9 or sailfish go out of juice completely. it can give issues with loading/charging or reboot loops.

have seen issues like this on n9 and jPhone 1.

The problem here is that hybris-recovery.img isn't included with the image in the first post. I went through that myself, and decided to just build the HADK/Platform SDK to compile the prerequisites...

If you installed SFOS using circulating images I suppose only two 'small' cores are active, hence suboptimal performances ;)

I also have Android 7.1.1 on my Xperia X (F5121). I unlocked the bootloader, rooted and debloated it....
But i prefer to use Jolla C as my daily driver because of SailfishOS.

No, this is a device software feature. Android, WP, iOS, BB10, all have the ability. Symbian, Hartmattan, Maemo, and Sailfish have been the only platforms I know of that don't utilize it.
