I think part of the problem is thinking that something *new* needs to be developed (e.g. hildon-desktop). The thing is fvwm can duplicate the entire home page easily, except for the desktop applets....

Actually General, I was referring the work that Mozilla was doing trying to get a mobile browser going. We'll definitely gain from that, too. I am not discounting the work of the microb team.
