I also couldn't install using app manager. It says "package not found"
so i downloaded the deb from here "http://deb.opera.com/maemo/pool/non-free/o/opera-mobile/" and installed it.

can someone make a Cover Flow media Player?
I was wondering if its possible to make a Apple's Coverflow (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cover_Flow) like interface to n900 media player or a new media player. It would be awesome coz of n900's...

Memory card not detected
i put a 4 gb memory card in the mc slot beside the camera. i rebooted the phone also but still my memory card is not detected. what might be the problem?

I had 50 mb before and then it shows 48.4 something.
and this chrome is not usable yet i guess
doesn't open virtual keyboard to input text
the default text case is UPPERCASE & its difficult...

Download the files from http://jacekowski.org/maemo/
Then upload them to some folder. (eg. /home/user/MyDocs/.documents/)
u need to install rootsh and then continue.
search for rootsh and install....
